It will turn red and a red “!” will show up where the record button was, as you cannot test at a slower tempo than the default. To do this, click the minus “-“ button next to “Tempo” to slow it down.

As the music starts getting more difficult in the book, you will want to be able to slow it down to a speed (tempo) that is easier to practice with.

Slide the “Accompaniment” down to under 1/3 of the way.

“Allow” Smart Music to use your microphone.
